As we all now, web fonts look like shit on a PC.
Particularly on Firefox and IE6 (RIP).Which serif font do you think is the best choice? Georgia? Times New Roman? Palatino?

I go with Georgia
I didn't think Palatino was a web-core font? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cor…

I'd go with Georgia, even though it looks pretty gay on a PC.

^ same here - I've got Baskervile displaying nicely on most of the browsers. I was trying to avoid Georgia, seems to be the new default for serif face on the web.
- haha, its the old default. designed specifically for screen and to ship with windows.kelpie
- yeah, i knew if was created specifically for screen, was just thinking the use of times has diminished.bulletfactory

do you not need to have the font on the server with @font-face, and doesn this not open the font up to being ripped off? I thought this was a bit of a no-no
- yes, the font has to be located on the server- and likely is a no-no for some faces.bulletfactory

yes, the font has to be on the server, and if you just drop it on there anyone can nav to it and download it. with some .htaccess magic though, you can protect it from being downloaded directly.
