Ok, fine—criticism.
There's nothing really Web 2.0 about the site. Don't mean to harp on that, but you stated that was your goal, and you didn't say anything else. So no, I don't (and clearly many others don't) feel this is anywhere near approaching a Web 2.0 functionality.
Content-wise, I don't really have any clue of what I'm looking at. There's very little content on the site, and what little there is you are showing via pop-up, which in my personal opinion (and many others') is not the best method.
The home page does nothing to introduce the content, or setup the "author" or "artist" here. I use quotations, because again, I don't know what I'm looking at.
"News" is empty, which is not reassuring.
You have a forward slash separator for your navigation, and a pipe as well—redundant. Choose the / or the | and stick with one of them.
When clicking through the sub-nav of photo galleries, your menu jumps from the right to the left, not sure why.
Lots of info in the résumé, but poor visual/info hierarchy. Makes it hard to read. And again, no information about yourself.
All in all, it's bare, and makes it hard for anyone to give you a serious critique.

Ah See Was That So Hard. Thank-you Very Much. Ok As Far As Content Thats All I Got From The Artist. If You Read Previous Post Popups Will Be Replaced With Modals (It Was A Quick Fix At The Time) The Galleries Nav Jumps Because Of Lack Of Images But I Will Fix That. Thanks.

The most obvious improvement you could make to cater to a Web 2.0 functionality would be to host the pictures on Flickr.

If you really want criticism, this would be my take on your site:
It might not look amazing but I think it does the job - inoffensive, and doesn't distract from the actual content that you're showing. The fact it's simple is a major plus point - you can now refine this to get it just right. Put yourself in Cynthia's position... what's the most important thing to her? Do the same for your site's potential visitors. You've designed a portfolio site - look at other examples of artists portfolio sites and copy what works.
Who is Cynthia? A simple introduction block would help. It would also be nice to start in the portfolio section .. do the work for your users.. present them with content immediately.
It's not web 2.0 though, which is the main reason I called you out as a troll. I can't believe that you would think otherwise - unless you've been living in a cave (or under a bridge) for the past 5 years.
And capitalising every word in your sentences is just plain stupid.. if you're a web-designer - view the process of writing as an exercise in user-experience. By capitalising every word, you make the process of understanding your words far more difficult than it needs to be. You're supposedly in the business of design & communication ...
