Well, guys
I've been working for a company part-time for close to 3 years. I don't mean to be asshole about it, but I do bring a lot to the table, I handle big constant accounts, and strive to bring new ones. Projects that consist from start to finish (print projects). I do get a lot of perks, like living early, meeting my own clients during there time even though it is rarely when that happens, I can take a couple of days when a trip comes up (un-paid of course), pretty much I make my schedule with clients and meetings. The work environment is good, but there is room for improvement. But, lately I've been feeling that I can bring the pay raise subject to my boss, don't ask me why, I guess I've going through changes in my life bla bla bla... I don't want to bore you. What do you think?

how much?

every six months or annually at the very least is the norm.
3 years service without, it's your time my friend.

how many other people in your company are waiting for pay rises?
what are the companies profit margins like?
if everyone who deserved one got one, would it screw the accounts?if not, look else where, get an offer, tell your boss! any clever boss would know it's far better to retain someone with 3 years internal experience than to get a newbie just because they're cheaper and don't want pay rises.

although, it would help to get some ideas in your head for:
• you want a raise, how much?
• no, we can't afford it right now but maybe in a few... get them to fix a month on this one
• no. fuck you.
• sure, here's a 2k raise (which would be about $15 a month)

You are right airey... I will give them a month to bring something to the table... I don't like to shut doors!

did you ask? or are you just waiting? they are probably waiting thinking, everyone seems happy, so why pay more. I'm sure if you go to them and say, hi, i'm on 10, but i'd really like to be on 20 let's chat.

fu...it's about time. part-time shouldn't even last that long. they should had roll you into full-time. fuckers don't want to pay for health insurance. etc.

3yrs with no raise - sounds like a company that doesn't appreciate their employees. And you have no project manager?
Doesn't sound as glorious as you think it is. If anything it will skew your opinion of the industry.

do you have any kind of review scheduled or coming up... if so i would bring it up then, if not then you need to initiate the conversation.
or get a new job, another way to get a raise.
