with in a few years this will be standard on all Cell Phones. Pretty sweet though. I don't understand why they don't have a full 35mm chip.

I am very surprised about the crop factor did not expect that. There is still one more camera to launch ... that will be a beast.

emukid, that video doesn't tell you whole truth. for once it had custom color profiles generated that removes all the red color from the image and it's the red channel on those Canon cameras that introduce huge amount of noise.
Here is my hands on experience with Canon 5D MII, there is an image that was hot at ISO1600 that shows a huge amount of noise in the reddish areas:

It doesn't have a full 35mm chip, because it is meant for sport and action photography rather than studio work. A bit of crop means further reach with the same lens while still having enough wide angle if needed. That's also why 1D always had higher FPS than 1Ds and 5D.
Or am I getting it totally wrong? :)
