my phone has a physical keyboard and I love it. (nokia E71)
I'm sure all those blind and visually impared people out there still like their physical keyboard.
- ah yes, target the blind market... thats a good logical one to focus on. [end sarcasm]********
- it's a broader usability issue. not just blind people. graphic designers can be so stupid sometimeslowimpakt
- got the E71 too....great and complete tool.Doorman
- 1) its a matter of taste.
2) if we are talking about usability then no keyboard wins by a landslideMeeklo - its like comparing a typing machine with a computerMeeklo

i got one yesterday and i think it's wonderful. love almost everything about it. the physical keyboard is a huge plus and i use it more than the on screen keyboard. i don't know about it being an iphone killer. it's hard to kill anything that has an unmatched fanboy following.

iDon't think Google has a clue...
Google should of stuck with their well executed search engine, that now does not work that well, and their Chrome browser sucks. Google is in over their head with all these new products and services. Google is becoming more like Microsoft and we all know that Microsoft sucks monkey balls!
- Haha...you gave no evidence that Android "sucks". I've got an iPhone, but I've used Android and I think it's great.Andrew_D

Good luck to those people who are getting the DROID. :) Ive seen the reviews and the videos online and it seems rad. :) As an iPhone user, im pretty excited about this thing... might just move over to Android if it becomes available here in the country... As much as i like my iPhone, the crazy way they treat the developers who make apps in their App Store is kind of annoying... \o/
To haters... other people like options. If you like a particular device you dont need to bash another. ><

It is sad that people still don't see the irony in "smart" phones,
seriously you can't find a better word in the lexicon that make us feel organized, in touch and connected all in the same time.
As far as my passion for phone goes, i'm happy with my nearly indestructible, waterproof, shockproof, doucheproof, Nokia 1208.

while wifey's iphone keeps on failing- nokia are the worst phones ever made.pascii
- the n series is very powerful and popularversion3
- i have to disagree on that "nokia is the worse phone" i dont own a nokia but i do think their phone is durable, stable, and all the basic function of a phone will always work unlike other brandpango
- stable, and all the basic functiona of a phone will always work, unlike other brandpango
- the worse is samsung and motorolapango
- The most reliable cell phones I've had were Nokia... not so glam, but they worked ALL the timevaxorcist

why do people want a phone which is more than a phone?
a bit like a toaster which is also a television?

So, I've had it for a week, spent $110 with tax...
Call Quality: 10
Display: 10
Audio: 10
Virtual Keyboard: 7... need pointier fingers I guess
Physical Keyboard: 8... keys not raised
3G Surfing: 10
WiFi: speed: 10
WiFi set up: 6 pain in the ass with my Linksys cable router
Sync if using Google Mail/Calendar, etc: 9
Sync with Outlook: 7... had to buy an app
Google Navigation: 9 - from city to suburbs twice, missed one exitI like it a lot, slippery sucker, though. Almost dropped it twice.
That is all...

@doorman
"why do people want a phone which is more than a phone?"
I think it's time for them to stop calling them phones. I want a device that has my calendars, email, games, organizers, good browser etc.. and also has a phone.
Why would anyone want to carry around a different device for all these things.to make this droid centric, I'd like to try this phone but it's fugly in person.
- personally i hate using the phone, i love having everything else plus a phonerusty_ace

i had verizon for ten years.
i didn't want to get an iphone because of call quality worries, and the phone functionality seemed to be deprioritized.i also like macs but am pretty agnostic and work equally well on both systems(weighted toward whatever ive been on the last couple months)
i got an iphone, and was right on both counts.
however, the iphone changed my life!
literally.
so so amazing.
way more amazing than i expected.
my life is much better with an iphone.that being said, the instant verizon gets iphone i will pay any amount to break my contract and switch back over.
if i was still on verizon, i think i would try this phone
