Far too reminiscent, and would never ever guess it says ink if I didn't already know.

If it was for a tattoo shop called NY Ink then it would be great, however in the context its in I think its just a bad idea personally.

formally, i like it, but yeah, it definitely reads as the yankee's logo and, like set said, i wouldn't know that it says "ink" if you hadn't told me... it'd be clever as some sort of secondary logo or something if you had some connection to nyc, and this was done as an obvious nod etc.

dot the i?
- yeah. with out the dot isn't not looking like a i.akrokdesign

I like it.

I like it to and I would agree with monospaced, dot the letter i...

Q: is it too reminiscent of a certain sports-id? ;-)
A: (not sure why the winky face but..) yes it is too close... unless you're going for a knock-off, in which case it's not close enuff.

it reads "Yankees"
- inkpink0
if you are actually doing a knock off it needs more irregular thick and thin like the original.

I see NK at first glance

I think its great!
I would remove the gradients for a more classic look and try to find a way to eliminate similarities with the NY logo while keeping the same idea.

Just says NK to me

I see dead logos...

does remind me of the Skankys logo, still like it though...

It's great, but I totally thought it was a new Yankees re-design.

reads NK. not ink.

I dig it, well the idea of it. I'd take monospaced's suggestion and try dotting the "i"

I think we all agree that the i needs the dot...other than that I think it's a strong mark.
