any ideas on the rankin live font guys, or is it custom avant garde?

the only thing avant garde about this is the R. looks custom to me. the N is horrible and so is the E
- Think the R is just a heavy weight
N has been extended as wel and E looks fine to meWeLoveNoise

2002 called, they want their typeface back—because 1967 called them and needs it to be put back in the time machine.

Shame this, because it could have been really nice. Ranks & jefferson know some fucking hot typographers – Another Man / Another Magazine etc...

yeah that R and N are a bit naff alright.
so in conclusion, it a kind of an alternate / custom avant garde.
