- Actually that sounds like a damn good idea (though I do like the wood grain if it's natural).ismith

- If there's anything the last 5 years have taught us - stencil prints look fucking great on woodgrain.detritus
- I'm detecting sarcasm.CyBrain
- Oh please, if you had over $4k burning a hole in your pocket and fancied your hand with a brush you'd be all over that :D to hell with iconic thingsismith
- to hell with iconic products, where are your intrepid spirits?! hahaismith

You're going to spend close to $4G's (http://www.dwr.com/product/furn... on an iconic lounge chair and add a stencil graphic to it? Really?

yeah! maybe Banksy could do something fresh and irreverant to an Eames Chair - make a statement!

I'm with Andrew_D - you gotta have a lot of confidence in your stenciling to do that to a $4k chair. Unless it is immaculate (and you are really, really good) you'll essentially kill the value of the chair.
My vote goes to just leave it as an iconic piece, a great design by itself. Go buy some plywood from Home Depot to play with.

if your set on it, do something in vinyl so you can remove it once you realize what you have done.

yea stenciling wasn't my idea. I was thinking maybe buying an old used one and re-upholstering it.

I was thinking of giving this chair to my GF for her B'day. A replica mind, and I still deface it with anything even if I was a fucking millionaire
