This is the 3rd reference to black garlic I've seen today. Looks like it's getting quite popular. I'm interested to try it out.

My gf's family makes this stuff. They ferment it for 7-10 years before eating it. I tried it once and its freakin amazing!

anyway, looks interesting, haven't tried it but will have a look for it this weekend. i loves me some garlic, i usually roast some in the oven every week and use it everything, especially hummus, yum.
