@Mal
I just checked out the 'beef and guns' page. Did you notice the couple fucking in the tent at the bottom of the page or am I just imagining it? :-)

What about other restaurants in NYC, not just steakhouses?

for the ultimate GREEK food goto Astoria, Queens.
Taverna Kyclades
http://www.tavernakyclades.com/get a country style greek salad, fresh brick oven baked bread, lemon roasted potatoes, charcoaled roasted lamb, fish, steak.
this is by far the best Greek restaurant in all of NYC. the prices are amazing cheap, the atmosphere is slightly "family" as the neighborhood is very family cultured.the seafood is as i am told [im allergic to seafood] one of the best, they de-bone the fish for you. the steak and the lamb are mouth watering.
also get some Greek wine. a coffee and they will give free deserts.
you can go with 4 people and the bill is under $100.:)

since you are coming to nyc i think its best you try some other cultures foods as here we have every culture imaginable and their foods. i would visit some of the more culturally 1 race areas such in the bronx, queens, brooklyn and manhattan. i would try some very latin dishes in jackson heights and then get a taste of some Peppa's Jerk Chicken in Brooklyn http://www.yelp.com/biz/peppas-j… or go for some turkish delights in manhattan at Akdeniz http://www.akdenizturkishusa.com… or try some shots at the Russian Vodka Room http://russianvodkaroom.com/ in manhattan... the amount of choice is endless and dont forget the indian foods everywhere and make sure you grab a taco at the many taco vans thru the city...
also maybe a NT Drinks should be made. it is the beginning of Autumn end of Summer... im not putting it together though... haha!!

There's this awesome and reasonable seafood place on Norfolk called TIDES. And it resides right in front of a "secret bar" called BACK ROOM so you can dip into the alley and resurface in a speakeasy feeling bar but a little more fancy.
