I heard a new set of Intel Ram is due out, but will this make the ram upgrade for the existing MacBooks cheaper?
Has anyone had experience with Apple lowering ram upgrades?

the thing many people dont realise is that macs, at least mac pros come with full buffer ram (FB-DIMM). so if you are adding standard ram, you're lowering the performance of your existing ram. also, thats another reason why the ram is more expensive.

It's not the 90's anymore, Apple computers don't need special RAM. They don't make their own RAM either, they don't even brand it.
Crucial is a good source, Apple is known to overcharge by multiples.

this new ram for the faster quad cores aren't cheap.
I'll buy the laptop with the ram it comes with and will upgrade when it gets affordable. I get by with a 2.66ghz.
Anyone here tell me if the Solid state drive is worth getting?
