i need like... at least 1 terabyte of server space
- Lots out there, but you're going to have to pay for that size of storageTheBlueOne

I like JungleDisk (uses AmazonS3)
but 1TB would be like $150/mth

i have no problem paying a monthly fee... but not 150 a month... i could almost buy an external hardrive once a month for that.

1TB will take you about a year to upload won't it?
(say 2GB per day upload?)

i guess it would take long... didn't think about that? i was thinking about just getting an external but I would rather have my stuff on a server so if something where to happen to my hard drives, I would still be ok

I'd suggest Tine Machine (or similar) backing up to a local drive with RAID to protect against disk failure (like Western Digital 2TB mirror edition), and then get more selective for what you want to backup online (just current projects, most important files, project info, computer settings etc).
The only downside you then have is fire or theft of the local drive...
- yes, i am all paranoid about fire or water damage to a local drive... I live in an old factoryEtype

I have no complaints with SugarSync. $10/month for 60GB. All of our client work gets backed up and we can sync a few machines with all version changes.

If you're on a PC, go with carbonite.

mozy.com is $5 a month, its dedicated/backed by a world class leader in storage emc (same guys who make parrells for mac i think).
Currently on my mozy backup I have 870 gigs backed up.
All for $5 - can't beat it.
- I can't stand their commercials—but the service seems okay.WrappedInBooks

you would have to refer a lot of people at drop box to get one TB of data.

mozy also, although I am still working on getting it to work (had my C drive nearly full, so it would stop uploading after it was full - I will say their tech support, while obviously foreign, was very attentive and worked to help me).
