just a small update about my tattoo idea I had some months ago guys. This tattoo is the one I had done last week in London, and it represents pretty much the crazy stuff happening in my life. But most important of all, my family, that even though are so freaking far away from me (in Brazil) they still offer me unconditional support and strength to survive this tough times I am facing right now. My family is just awesome.

If you're in Copenhagen, go for one of these studios. They're absolutely the best.

you guys are awesome, thank you very much for the advices given so far. I will actually try to look up for a nice tattoo artist then, that can draw some geometrical stuff, no pin-ups and stuff like that... just shapes basically... and that will definitely make it easier, for me and for the tattoo artist.
For me: Because I know how long it takes for me to design my own website, logo and etc... and that after 2 years, I end up hating it..
For the artist: Because, it is a good point, the guy will be inspired in having his own work and etc on me.
Now, off to find a good place here in Copenhagen!

You take these things way to seriously autoflavour. Life's too short to take things like this as seriously as you do.

It's not that hard mate, it's like patinting with dots, pretty easy once you got the hang of it.
Plus, with tattooes, it's not just about the "design" but about the fact that you/someone took a needle to your arm and permanently deformed your body.
That's the space of "self-expression" that i think is needed to be exploited by "individuals" (such as me) who want to avoid the McTattoo of the McTattoo parlours.
And little girlies who get starts tattooed on their writs.
"OMG! I got this start tattooed on my wrist! I represents my death mother! It's so little! Ickle tattoo on my writst, can you see?? It's dead small, just discrete on my wrist!!"
I fink that's a bit shit. But then who am i to judge? To each his own.
- you are seriously deluding yourself if you dont think tattooing is hard.autoflavour
- I fink so too. death mother.dopepope
- That was my first go and it looks graet. My mother is an urdu poet and she reads it perfectKhurram
- It has the perfect caligraphic inflections as well.Khurram
- Have you ever tattooed anything? What do you base your assessment of "easy/hard" on??Khurram
- lol khurram, i remember you from 2008 you bad muthafucka!NEWSFLASH

ok look at it from this perspective.
a graphic designer wants a new logo.
they are more than capable of designing it themselves.
do they
a) make it themselves
b) make another designer do it.im guessing most would design it themselves right?
but you cant tattoo yourself, not without a lot of practice, as its not your trade. you may be skilled at making the graphic, but not at applying it.
so there is the difference. yes, a tattoo artist are usually skilled drawers or illustrators, but their styles will invariably differ from what it is you have in mind.
so if you are confident in your abilities as an artist, why not make it yourself.
unless of course you want a piece by XYZ tattoo artist.. in which case, this point is mute.
it is a service in the end.

you shoudl both agree to disagree.
Your both wankers anyway, real men tattoo themselves or get their mate to do it.
Keepin it real yo!
- and they look as awesome as your squiggles. is that a russian prison tattoo?autoflavour
- That's what i was aiming for. I.e, the whole "prison" aesthetic.Khurram
- And by the way, bitch, i never want nor need your opinion on my tatts. So you can shove those opinionsKhurram
- you win.autoflavour
- up your arse¬!Khurram
- duly noted, i will no longer refer to your awesome tattoo prowess. and here i was about to ask for one from youautoflavour
- I'm not aiming for awesome d00d. As long as it looks like i want it, that's all that matters.Khurram

"tattoos and logo creation are somewhat different.. while similar in many respects.
client comes in and wants a logo, its your job to know what is good and what will look best.
tattoo client comes in and if they want something specific, its your job to give them what they want."this is where I disagree :)
but nice for once to discuss tattoo without having the same stupid pictures etc.- i disagree to agree.. only based on the suggestion by Khurramautoflavour

My next experiment will be do do on across my ripped abs.
It will also be in urdu language and a poem, but it will be a longer one so more difficult/ambitious.
