This is the design I have come up with for a charity website I am doing, its going to be used as a template so has to be quite simple, I am happy with the lay out, but I think there is something not quite right. Could use your help ladies and gentleman, So thoughts please
Oh and its in grey as I haven't started the color scheme yet.
Thanks for your help

needs colour... :) i joke.. i joke..
i think the script font isnt working too well.
i would simplify that, and the donate button too, looks a bit busy.
if those two things were simplified i think you would be getting there.- Ta, was thinking of trying it with a more basic font, so will take that on board and give it a goharmsie

I would lose the bevel and emboss on "donate now." If you're trying to draw attention to it, I think it draws enough attention on its own.

concur on losing the bevels and emboss..and the "contact" tab seems awkwardly placed...and maybe a bit more spacing on everything overall..feels a wee bit cramped. But otherwise, I like.

I'd consider more contrast/colour and I'd set all examples of script text at the angle evident in your header. Layout feels cluttered - like it's based on a simple square grid, with some bits forced in, in a literal sense, without much regard for how the overall composition feels.
I don't know what they are, but I'm slightly concerned by the 3 boxes at left, labelled Run, Climb, Sled. I hope they're not nav, but I can't imagine what else they could be.
More colour. Charity should be warm, human and alive - not bleak and in all likelihood, dead.
- boxes on the left are for style switcher, so users can pick a themed colourharmsie

Hmmm, all that script seems a little too much and makes the page a little busy.

So the consensus o far is ditch the script font.
theblueOne and detritus, thanks for saying it can be opened up a bit more, I was actually worried there was too much space, so I can go further with that. Thanks everyone so far, good feedback.
