I think maybe get rid of the line for the actual logo and maybe bring it in depending on the application like you said earlier. Also the eraser feels a bit too tall in my opinion.

Great logo...
I like using a limited colour palette (2 tones) vs going all rainbow crazy on it.
It's a good idea to have different drawings, but that also depends on space. I'm not sure of the budget, or if it's just too much, but you could use a lot of different art tools – brushes, textas, markers, pencils, crayons, pens etc...

i like but why the huge field of color around it?
guessing somebody probably mentioned this already.
you should probably figure out a positive colorway solution with dark text on white.
