Not sure, but I think you can rent from Franks on Grand Street, right by the East River. I'll wave from my window across the street.

Don't think there is one but personally, I think you've got to be nucking futs not to wear one...
I got knocked off my bike in London once and cracked my helmet on the curb - it had a 1 inch deep dent in the side of it; if I'd not been wearing it...

They close off Park Ave on weekends from Central Park to Brooklyn bridge.
