1st one with the ragged edge of the 2nd one. and be done with it.

or inverted:
Of yours, the first looks cheap and as if it's trying too hard to be edgy/cool/hipster. Perhaps if the whole thing was in italics:
— obviously with your vector you can do a better job.
Second, could look classy, modern, cool, new - except everyone else has jumped on the bandwagon for that typographical style with those connecting line thingys.

I like gridnik as a font, think its quirky and quite easy on the eye. I have no idea why you have chosen to fill in the counters though. Compared tot he rest of the monoweight lines those characters look fat, unbalanced and draw your eyes straight for them like a brain in a jar.
On the other hand info is an alright-ish font, a friendlier, more approachable din, the ligature looks ok, but a little out of place seeing as how the other letterforms don't have those kind of curves.
I have no idea what the reasoning is behind the surrounding shapes though. They make the logos look further unbalanced and the one on the bottom cheapens the typeface considerably.
Of the two the top one is closer to looking like a logo, as the angles in the shape reflect the angles in the letterforms, it just needs to be refined and unified.
One thing though, they both look very samey. have you explored other options, shapes, concepts?
Ask yourself "Do you know the point of the exercise?*" and go from there. Clearly define what you want to achieve and work backwards from that. It'll help you in the long run.

Not liking the second one, that "st" ligature is so kooky and annoying
Really liking felizfeliz's first one.

Thanks for all your tips/advice/comments/variations so far. neue75_bold understands what I'm aiming at most I guess, thanks for the tip!
Maybe a language thing too?

I'm with neue75_bold too.
The thing that strikes me about the Vrede stuff above is the mix of modern and traditional within each element/icon. With that in mind #2 is strongest, but maybe look at increasing that mix of old and new within it...
