Looking for software or plugins for software to create panoramic virtual tours. From what tours I have seen, most are done in Java, so I guess I would need special software to do this. Are there any for Flash CS3?
I am a web designer so have CS etc but only a digital point and shoot.
Anyone got some experience with this?

Sorry, no experience of the technical side, but we commissioned this guy a few months back;
Might be of interest to see what can be achieved.

Forget just the interface side for now and focus on the photgtaphy first. You will need a nodalninja, or panosaurus to films the 360 along with an SLR with a wide angle lens. When you have these items and discovered if you will be shooting a multi row pano or a 5 shot one with a 8mm lens (4 shots at 90 degrees and one zenith shot ) then the stitching application should be easier to find. I recommend PTGUI, calico or autodesk stitcher. From there there are several formats to export from including Flash. I personally hate Flash for virtual tours and love QTVR, but the penetration rate for flash is much higher.
Happy shooting

Thanks!
Very informative. Love the NodalNinja because it can do 360/180 panoramics for $200 - still have to look into the software and cameras/lenses
