Personality aside, I'v e been following him (and a few other individuals such as Max Keiser) for global news and his reports do make a lot of sense to those sitting outside the CNN/BBC sphere. Some of what he reports does strike a chord with people I know abroad. Russia, Iran, Iraq and Pakistan in particular.
He does get stuff wrong and I am not a fan of his rants, but hey at least he encourages listeners to go and research between the lines for themsleves.
I would encourage you not to personally attack anyone sitting outside corporate media because they're more likely to be on the side of the common man and our choice of news sources gets less and less each year.

glen beck case in point. he speaks some truths that people don't want to hear so the corporate media package it in a nut case and people igore the information because the delivery system is so flawed.
charlie sheen just campaigned publicly for 9/11 truth and the only stories in the media were about his storied past.
ignore the personalities and research the info yourself. there is some scary shit going on.

an overall smart guy, brings a lot of important stuff to light but can def be a *tad* on the extreme side. Either way you slice it, its nice to have someone whose not just another corporate talking head. Then again, you have the issue of disinformation agents, Jones possibly being one of them :/
