23kon, does the gx100 have the "good" grain quality?
will the gr3 have that grain quality?

read my post earlier.
the GX100 has some grain quality in my opinion.
Not as much as the original GRD though.All the new ones GRDII, GX200 use standard compression.
I dont know anything about the GRDIII , I only know about the older ones cos thats what I researched when buying mines.
Ricoh got a slating from the diehard GRD fans for the GRDII doing away with the 'grain' so whoknows, maybe theyve brought it back.
It'd be mentioned in reviews if it was.

little update i bought a LX3, as a photo newbie i am just trying different settings for the streets.
Yesterday, sunny day but the pics weren't sharp enough.
settings f2.4/iso200/dyn. BW/MF/0.5m@23kon, could you share your cam settings
