Don't think Flash can do this itself... fucking lame

Maybe capture the playback with some third-party video capture software? I don't think you can do it straight from Flash.

Flash CS3 here too.
You'll get that message after the flash is recorded and saved to disk as a mov. Where did you tell him to put your mov - it's on your HD somewhere!

Depending on the application, you may be ok - I ran into all kinds of problems doing this. I created a couple ads that were going to run just before the feature at movie theatres. When converting to uncompressed mov from flash, it kept choking. I could get it to play (albeit, very jerky) if I compressed it quite a bit, but the theatre co. wouldn't take it - i finally sent them the uncompressed file that wouldn't work for me, and it was fine for them.
- wait, you're not having problems running the file - you just can't locate it? I need to read before I reply!bulletfactory

try {
swf > open in AfterEffects > Export > QuickTime
}

^ not working, its telling me I can't import swf files, what version of Flash do you have?
- noiseisthis0
cs4.
it should work in cs3.
in afterEffects, double click in the Project container or Import the swf. It should pre-compose the swf. From the pre-composed swf you can export as QT movie.
