1. There isn't a whole of talking going on..... It's a monologue not a dialogue.
2. The logo is boring... Talk About Design = TAD = baby frog = more interesting?
3. Do we really need another site like this? It doesn't seem to bring anything new to the table. If it had insightful, well written articles (a la, the now defunct, Speak Up) then it might really interest people.
4. Where is the interaction?* Comments, Forums, Chat, Ratings??? Anything?
*There could be, but I waited 5 minutes for my confirmation email and couldn't be bothered waiting longer.
5. Trust. There is no privacy clauses etc. Why would I trust you not to spam the email address i give you? (I could create a fake one, but I already have enough that I can't get remember)

Your typography on the right hand side doesn't follow the convention laid out by the left site.
Headers = serif
Other shit = sansTurn those links into sans font. It's distracting and jarring the way it is now.

agree with amicus' first statement: you're touting it as a community, while its really just a blog. i'd try rethinking the interaction, and work on building a customized, creative system for open dialogue rather than a homogenized, out of the box solution. there are numerous platforms for discussing design online, so a logical thing you to work on is creating an environment that best facilitates that discussion. you're current implementation doesn't really cut it.

why? the term is applicable to this site. it's a solution, a blog, that hasn't really been modified to make it work for the site's concept. it's not as though i'm saying "think inside/outside of the box" which, i will admit, is cliche.- i agree. :-)akrokdesign
