I only watched about .7 seconds of that but am I right in guessing that 'editing' actually remains the exact same discipline as it always was, and this merely demonstrates how you can swap a screen and a mouse for a wii glove and a projector?

exactly... life aint minority report.
cant really see how it will improve or refine the process.
clever software yes but not really pushing the editing process forward at all

Looks good for just a few minutes work, but doesn't look very comfortable to work for many hours

perfect for impressing clients, then after they've gone, you turn it off and use the projector for xbox.

just because you CAN create an interface like that doesn't mean you should.

This system in my opinion will only be good for the viewing of stock not for actual editing, so you could step into your booth with a client and blast through stock and choose your takes then get into a traditional suite and do some in depth editing.
- You might hit your client upside the head thoughSpookytim

seems like you have to work in a windowless dark room waving your arms around. can you do that 8 hours a day 5 days a week. standing up... would prefer to sit in a cafe with a laptop - checking out the cute waitresses...

Gonna be a real pain in the balls when you have to stop to take your gloves off to make notes on your pad, or flip your piles of notes from the director, yourself, or clients, or whatever, like an actual editor.
