I am trying to open up a .psd in photoshop. Its just a photo that I edited and I'm trying to add it to another file. Every time I try to open the file (no matter how, dragging file on the PS app, opening through photoshop, or trying to edit original from illy) it tells me that "Could not complete your request because it is not compatible with your version of photoshop."
I've placed in preview and saved out a .tif, but it compresses the file and I lose my clip.
Anyone had anything similar and have a decent work around?

It really sounds corrupt to me. If you opened the file in CS3, edited it, then saved it -- something must have borked in the saving process.
But you said Preview can open it? Can Bridge open it? Or perhaps some other CS3 software you can try?
- Its in an illy file that recently went to print and came back finerodzilla

I just copied it from illustrator into photoshop and it retains my clip/editing. Thanks for the help everyone.
