Skate 2 is great, even if you already own Skate. Getting off the board, moving things around, trick variants, a beautiful new city with lots to skate ... definitely Skate 2.

My ol' lady and I can't stop playing party play on danny's megaramp, the stadium and the fun track... SKATE 2 will never get old... until SKATE 3 I guess... release date...??? PS3 would be ideal but not everyone's setup = perfect... ; )

Tony Hawk franchise is DEAD. Avoid.

What I mean is, EA reinvented skateboard games with the Flickit control. I believe they even have a patent on it - even if they don't, Tony Hawk franchise can't copy Flickit controls.
In comparison, Tony Hawk games are just a mess of mashing on buttons and button combos - nowhere near as realistic or enjoyable as playing Skate 1 or 2 and pulling all the tricks you manage to learn using the flickit control 85% of the time.
So, basically, nobody is ever going to rival EA in terms of what they did. Who wants to play Tony Hawk games when Skate is ridiculously superior?
