What I mean is, EA reinvented skateboard games with the Flickit control. I believe they even have a patent on it - even if they don't, Tony Hawk franchise can't copy Flickit controls.
In comparison, Tony Hawk games are just a mess of mashing on buttons and button combos - nowhere near as realistic or enjoyable as playing Skate 1 or 2 and pulling all the tricks you manage to learn using the flickit control 85% of the time.
So, basically, nobody is ever going to rival EA in terms of what they did. Who wants to play Tony Hawk games when Skate is ridiculously superior?
