which one is harder to believe?
1. an agency with technology that can take people to outer space and back with reliable consistency (which can also be done by another agency from another country at the time) can come up with a way to extend that trip to our planet's moon and do it multiple times.
2. keep everyone involved in a massive conspiracy quiet for decades. all the logistical personnel involved in staging a moon landing, other people involved like the aussies who recorded the footage and the russian goverment.
if the US president cant keep a blowjob in the oval office a secret, how did nasa keep anyone from exposing the hoax?

yeah, the same crack team that couldn't hide a presidential blowjob has somehow hidden an alien crash and falsified the moon landing. people who believe this are the same fucking idiots that forget 'the government' are your aunt, your next door neighbour, 5 of your friends, that fucking tool that dated your ex and knocked her up, etc etc. the government are - in general - people that want job security, easy hours and less stress / demand, in general terms. your secret is only as safe as the weakest link. try to hide anything with these crackajack morons.

my old man was a jet pilot in the airforce then, and he, like anyone else in the air knew the tech that they used to get to the moon and understood how dangerous is all was. nobody in related industries didn't think it was anything but bold, ballsy and awesome.
as for the technology, 99.9% or us on qbn couldn't explain how a tv works or the difference between AM and FM radiowaves. yet the same people talk about the moon landing being some technology that's out of reach for then. fuckoff.
if it does turn out one day that it was a fraud, it will be because of budget and time (ie: racing the soviets who already got into space first) not due to the technology being impossible.
personally i think too many people saw Capricorn One (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt007... but maybe it'll turn out to be a fake. and elvis is alive. so's jfk. and marilyn is married to bobby k.

No earth bound telescopes can see the landing sites/debris simply because of aperture and focal length limitations, so you can't confirm like that. But you can always get an industrial laser and shine it up to the reflectors left by Apollo 11 crew on the moon's surface. We constantly use the laser retroreflector to measure the distance of the moon from the Earth.

And for everyone who says why haven't we been back? Well they did several Apollo mission landings until 1972.
Also the reality of the costs and dangers meant it couldn't go on forever. They also disregarded A LOT of common sense and safety to get up there and beat the USSR by today's standards. Lets also not forget the unfortunate Apollo 13 mission.
