What are the best ones? I have loads of fonts and I don't want them on all the time. it would be ideal if they could be turned on when needed automaticaly and off when not?
Thanks

Depends on your budget but here are three good ones with varying price tags:
- After using suitcase for years i work I wouldn't recommend it. FEX is better and free.shitehawke
- Can't hear you mate, somone's turned the juke box up.MrOneHundred

FontExplorer is no longer free and started to bug me a lot, constantly deactivating Arial and Verdana. Fucking annoying. Switched to Suitcase at home. not very happy but the fonts stay active.
If anyone has a solution to it I'd really appreciate it

HAHAH
Well that was an easy decision. Ill have a look at font explorer.
Ill read up on it now.

Not true Eskema, the pro version is a paid app but you can still download the free version: http://www.fontexplorerx.com/dow…
- that doesn't support CS4 so autoactivation go down the toiletESKEMA
- really? no autoactivation on CS4? Well that's that down the drain.Kiko
- True, but I find auto activation a hassle, especially with suitcase, fonts turning off mid project and such, different versions of fonts.shitehawke
- I really just need to clean up the font library. Hang on, whos round is it?shitehawke

I used Xtensis at an old job, hated it, that was a few versions ago I guess, but it was always crashing and corrupting. Been using Font Book for the last few years but that has suddenly decided to start randomly losing fonts, also I think it was keeping all my fonts on all the time which was causing problems. So I am trying out Font Explorer finally, sounds like it is a favourite, trying to get my head around it.
Pint of Doom and some honey roasted cashews, and whatever anyone else wants.
