dude here it is:
the Lost Coast.
hwy 1 goes up the entire california coast except a few hours north of the city, where it goes inland 50 miles for a 50-mile stretch before returning back to the coast.
it goes around the King's Range, a steep range dropping 4,000 feet straight into the ocean.
the black sand beach along the range is the Lost Coast.
only accessible by hiking(or by boat), waterfalls off the mtns, seals along the water, super incredible.that's my recommendation.

it is highly unethical for an employer to make you use your vaca when things get slow.

Ok, so far I have planned a Skydive, camping at Yosemite (or Big Sur) a few days, Whitewater rafting at Trinity.
