Hi All,
In CS3 on a PC, I have a problem where you cannot view the "frames" in the timeline, in other words, the frames in the layers look all white. Not guides with the every 5th frame grayed out.
How do you fix this problem, I try everything, and really what I hoping is how do you reset the preferences in a PC? Is it just going to some flash folder and deleting the flash preferences? Or is there a shortcut when the app is launching? Thanks!

Not exactly sure what you mean. Can you post a screen shot?

click on the flyout in the timeline panel. choose 'normal' instead of preview as you may be viewing the frames "zoomed in".

In 12 years of using Flash, I've never looked at the preview mode. I usually use tiny and short, so I can see more. I can't create the error you describe.

Sorry- this is a PC at another location, I can't get a screen capture. But for example in the picture below, you see how the timeline has a grid like in an excel sheet? In this one PC it is all white, I can still select and create keyframes, but it is hard to find the frames right away.
I check all the settings in the view flyout, did not help... thanks.
This is really weird, is it possible that the display of the PC is set to thousands of colors, instead of millions of colors, and so that's why I can't the see the shade of gray in that area of the application?

Have you rebooted your machine?
