i like living in sf, but i'm finding a lot of people from here never get out, and it annoys the shit out of me. what this has to do with him not knowing pink floyd, i'm not really sure. just an observation.

I just overheard a bunk of little punks talking about how awesome clerks 2 is and they have never seen the first! omg....
- fiver0
he asked if pink floyd was a boy or a girl..... i mean, this is just general knowledge correct? he also thought portland maine was 2-3 hours away from DC, so i dunno.....
- Is he dropped off at the office each morning by a small bus?Scotch_Roman

While I've heard several songs, I've never listened to the album all the way through. See, I cut my teeth on punk rock, growing up I thought Floyd was only good for acid trips and naptime.

HAHahaHHa. Reminds me one who told me he discovered recently a good movie director :
"Mmmh wait. What's his name again ? Stephen... hum. Or Stephan. Anyway his last name is something like Schpeilburg. You know him ??"

still remember being a young kid on the school bus when the movie was released, and every portable radio/boombox was playing Another Brick in the Wall pt 2.....absolutely loved that song from the moment i heard it...it was so vastly different from the other popular music (circa late 70's early 80's) it seemed kinda heavy (although not in the same way heavy metal does) and had a haunting quality as well....
gotta remember..at that time, if you turned on the radio, chances are you either heard the disco version of the star-wars theme or 'boogie woogie dancing shoes'....(and if neither of those rings a bell you'll just have to trust me...it was awful)
so although punk was coming in, and claiming that super-groups like floyd were over the hill or too pompous or whatever, that song, and that moment in time was kinda like a watershed moment...i'm not gonna say that tune was the one that killed disco....but wow...it sure as shit knocked it the fuck out of my schoolyard...like most folks tho, it wasn't til i was in highschool myself that i really truly got into them...bought all the albums, saw them in concert a few times etc....
to this day, they're still probably my favorite band....

What the hell are you guys all talking about?
- blaw0
Cliché though it may be, Pink Floyd really does pair well with LSD (better, vice-versa).
Though if I actually had the 14 hours to kill I'd probably choose something like Shpongle for the soundtrack.
- jgrillo0
maybe its a good thing, is he annoying????
this might change him.
- fiver0
just weird.... doesn't get out much i guess.
