I really, really miss Fruity Loops.
Seriously. Nothing on a Mac comes close.
Also, agree with invo: Finder sucks.

I had a dos machine first. I never understood it. Then I got a mac IIci and that was okay. Then a compac which was a piece of crap. then a dell which was pretty good until I crapped it up with pirated software. the a couple dell laptops and now a mbp and a hp running vista (which isn't all that bad).

For my part, I am just hybrid at home. Mac for work, PC for Media Center and poker!
When working, I also mostly misses a couple of softwares I am used to on PC (Editplus and some other) and the existence of a real right click menu on the mac.
I also dislike the way you tile and switch trought running programs in OSX.. 5 years on a Mac and even with Exposé and "alt-tab", I always struggle when exploring files and when I try to hide windows.

People don't seem to understand my "you can't cut and paste" thing.
"Unlike Windows, Mac OS X doesn't permit you to cut and paste files in order to prevent data loss.
If something bad were to happen -- hard drive crash, power failure, coffee spill, meteor strike -- after the "cut" but before the file was actually pasted, it would simply be gone, and Apple's engineers believe it's too big a risk for typical users to make.
The Unix "mv" command works if you really, really want to move files without manually deleting the original."
There you have it. You can't cut and paste things in certain dialog boxes.

I miss Window's relentless advertising campaign, and having images of colorful splooges of young hip people dancing with trendy gadgets plastered in every possible corner of the city bombard me daily... oh wait...

Free bits of software to do whatever I want them to do.
A "finder" that actually sorts folders and files correctly.
Being able to uninstall stuff and generally keep things clean.
Remembering network drives.
CS with no bugs and less hangs
Installers with OPTIONS
Getting stuff done.

"after the "cut" but before the file was actually pasted, it would simply be gone"
Not true. It remains until pasted.
- Quoted from someone else. I would prefer having cut and paste on a Mac.juhls
