For a style guide of a web design project which includes 10 comps for the web site and 5 pages of design for the admin tool interface?

$15-$20 max. Anything more and they'll find somebody in India to do it cheaper.

No less than 5k.
- I was going to say no less than 10k, but then I read it was web comps style guide, which I don't know it existedMeeklo
- look for the BBC web guidelines. took quite a bit of work and thought.VectorMasked

depends on how busy you are, how much the client wants you, and how good you are at negotiating.
Check the artist guild to see if it helps a bit

You're probably looking at somewhere around 80 hours of work before it's all said and done, give or take. You might need a writer, though for a website style guide maybe not.

whats your estimated timescales? add 20 - 50% asshole tax and quote them.
- "asshole tax" = "client interference, hemming and hawing"boobs

The time to complete will be about a month total for both front end design and admin tool interface.

The correct question is:
"How can I find out how much the client was hoping to spend? And then convince them that it is still worth committing to."- or help client realize they were hoping to spend waaay less than is reasonablevaxorcist

10 comps for a website = either:
A: Crazy need for multiple versions
or
B: Complicated web app that needs IA and process thinking more than just graphic design
