Wow! Top notch work Jas! Excellent folio!

Not sure I would have the CV Mailer on there. It is just a mailing tube you can buy anywhere... where is the design in that (or perhaps I am missing something)?
Some other good bits though.

Thanks guys for your comments.
fodcj - I just need to upload the images of what my CV looks like, then it might make more sense.

- no need to show all 4 of these spreads. pick your favoritebaseline_shift

I think you would do well to have your own url, there's too much talent on that site registry that the whole could overshadow your work. stand up, stand out, that's just my two cents...

very impressive. Great understanding of traditional theories and willingness to experiment. The weakest IMO is "This Is Sculpture." I would agree that you need your own site.
-thumbs up from me.

The logo isn't on par with the rest of the work IMHO. Nice work though!

nicely done

There's not a single piece of real-world work in your portfolio. Nothing practical, applicable. Nothing that stands outside of academia or design forums. Nothing to show an employer how your skills could be applied to an actual client project, to solve a real communication problem.
"the work looks unfinished and rough, nice college work"
This is the truth.
- Nothing to show? You're not being fair. Plus, how is he supposed to have "real-world" stuff if he's just graduating?Corvo2

kaonashi...
did you have any real world work when you graduated? If you did I bet it was only a handful. The site above contains a range of branding, typesetting and packaging briefs. This is all an employer needs to see.
They dont hire you for the work you have already done, its the work you will do in the future & your personality.

Did I say he should have been producing Nike campaigns by his Freshmen year? No.
But all he can show in his portfolio is technical skill. There isn't a single amount of conceptual skill.
Guess which skill-set employers really want and need?
- philkiel0
So the font-generator doesnt have a concept? the sculpture brand doesnt have a concept? Roland Barthes book cover doesnt have a concept?
Seems to me like you wouldnt know conceptual skill if it kicked you in the nuts.
And who mentioned nike campaign?

Almost every project is art-school exclusive. Shit wouldn't hold a candle to the challenges designers face in the real world.
And did you even read the project descriptions?
"While on a placement at Non-Conform I was asked to help design a logo for Tate Liverpool. With in the logo I had to create an eye catching logo while using the Tate font. "
Wow, lot of thought went into that piece.
The work is shallow as fuck. Style over substance.

I agree with uberdesigner on the CV mailer - not sure what you're trying to show off here - BUT - I'd have to disagree with kaonashi and say that there is quite a bit of concept going into his work - especially for a student portfolio

about the cv mailer...put a swastika on the outside then put a peace sign on your cv. show some creativity.
