Vegas Design Scene?

anyone know what the design scene (if any) in Vegas is like? i haven't found much in detail on the web, but i'm guessing there's a lot of production work for the entertainment industry, with a few great niche firms here & there.
i'm graduating with an mfa degree soon and will be moving there in the fall. any suggestions on what firms or agencies to try and hit up for employment?

I imagine there are a LOT of decent boutiques, only a couple of very good boutiques, probably NO large agencies, and an assload of very small, one-stop-one-man-marketing/desig... shops doing tons of ugly stuff.
I'm just guessing though. I've never heard of any great work coming from that area, but alas, I've never been told of any either ...
