Kaonashi, how does my comment prove I'm a hack, (which I clearly am). That seemed a bit uncalled for. A downgraded digital version of an image taken with film on a website will not exhibit how much better it is than digital film. Why did you take that personally enough to insult me?

"this makes total sense. Lets find digital versions of film images and post them even smaller in digital form on a website to prove they're better than digital!"

One time on a shoot, the photographer I usually with, brought an assistant, one one of the breaks she started telling me how much better film is over digital, as if she was trying to convince me, her work was so much better than the actual photographer.
My first thought is, she was the female version of the 55 year old guy wearing pony tail and hawaiian shirt, that thinks his work doesn't stink because he does it on a mac.
trust me, these days, a statement like that is best to keep it to yourself, or at least wait till someone actually told you they like your work before saying it, chances are your are going to be put on the same bag as the guy that just now got a point and shoot and loves telling people to stand sideways with their hands on their waist before taking a photo.

If you could go back and give all the old b+w masters the choice between their clunky/fickle film cameras and a Canon Mark II I doubt their would hesitate a second in switching over. Film is nothing more than a means to an end, not a standard or a benchmark to measure everything else against.
