We could start the 13th, 20th, or even the 27th...I say the 20th... but could go with the 13th. 27th is like too much imo.

do you have to pay a fee to access the Nike+ website? Or you just need an iPod and the Nike+ kit ?

You don't have to pay for anything. The entire site experience is free.
You just need a ipod mini or an iphone (not the regular one) ... and the sensor/receiver (kit — aprox CAD $39)

Apparently an updated Nike+ Sportband is coming out soon (end of July), also an option if you don't have nano/ touch 2nd Gen.

20th sounds good to me..I'm hoping i can get my hands on a second generation sportband by then, as mine is no longer in working order. I'll play cheerleader if I don't have a new one in time.

i lost my fucking ipod touch somewhere in williamsburg this weekend. it be a week or so until i get a new one so im definitely up for this past the 20th july.

So I haven't checked this thread since I did my toe. It's still on the mend, I think I have some nerve damage as I have no control over said toe.
I will be joining the next challenge for sure, I also have a half marathon in September so this is perfect starting point to do some proper training.Congrats Flutter.... What was the winning distance? (sorry too ashamed to check the Nike site)

i will join if i can find a new nike+ wristband! i said before, and i will say it again, they are impossible to get right now.
is anyone else finding this to be difficult? it's really annoying, these nike+ bands are nowhere to be found. :\
- and if they made the lcd to last more than 6 months i will call it a nike++. right now, more of a nike--lvl_13
- well they were discontinued as far as I know. There's rumours that nike will release a new one sometime in the near future.VectorMasked
- i talked to some sales people and they seem to think there is no way nike discontinued it?? they said sales were huge!lvl_13

I've had an idea, which may/may not hold any weight here, but has anyone checked out www.dailymile.com? you can make challenges, but it isn't just for nike+(yet you can still upload your n+ data). Supports all makes and models(just nike+ right now for automatic uploads, they are in the process of making support for garmin). But you are able to manually log your distance.The main reason I'm suggesting this is that I folded and bought a Garmin, but I also know that we could likely get more people in these challenges if we use somewhere that supports more than nike.

I want a Garmin.... alot.
More accurate and has a heart rate monitor... I do think that ^ will not wash with some people as the opportunity to "bend the truth" is too great.

oh, and to that point, people can post a link, as they are manually uploading their stats, to their official stats. that would prevent bending the truth, and would also allow for checking if there were any suspicions of cheating.
