Where have I seen this, it's so familiar. Was this from that new website that we were critiquing?
- monospaced0
I'd guess it is 3D rendered.
- prob take ages then ?colour
- not if it's just rendering a wireframe over a bump map...might only take a few minutes to createmonospaced
- ok coolcolour
- neverblink0
it's a javascript used with scriptographer in illustrator
- bump790

That's done in javascripting? Wow, didn't know javascripting can do that now.
- neverblink0
Well actually the javascript isn't doing this.. scriptographer enables you to write javascript-based scripts to tell illustrator what to do. It's written in java, so you can also do java call inside the scripts.

problem is theres no instrcutions about how to use this script
- neverblink0
by looking at the code;
you have to open an image in illustrator, have it selected and then run the script.. you will need to have scriptographer installed for it to work ofcourse (http://www.scriptographer.com)

hey nairn, I am with you.
the answer IS right there

lol, it was a little script i wrote a while back to imitate this
http://scriptographer.com/Galler…
Jürg Lehni had his own script which someone commissioned him to make, but refused to share it, so it was commical when I uploaded it on his own site, he banned me at first, but then we became friends(the pic above does initially had the same effect, except that I used simplify for a "rawer" look)
the script uses a bitmap image in illustrator (blur it a little beforehand )
- still abit oblivious about how to usecolour
- got illy open with some text and a few lines - nothin happeningcolour
- 1. put extrude.js in the script directory for scriptographer plugin
2. paste a bitmap image in illustrator******** - 3. select it, find etrude,js in the script list in the little window and hit play button********
- does it have to be bitmap - not png/jpg ?colour
- any raster image, i guess
