Hey guys,
For those of you working at the big names (goodby, akqa)...how hard is it to get in places like these? I hear you have to know people to get you in. Is this true? How would you go about applying to the top shops?cheers.

Interactive Art Director.

what about just interactive designer? goodby art directors are generally speaking top notch. not that your work isn't, just saying i'd imagine it's pretty competitive.
- yes, I have considered Designer as well, sure.hellogoodbye

is it only big ad agencies you want to work at?
- ********0

I interned at Goodby for 9 months, their interactive department was really laid back. I would contact their head recruiter and just be confident about your work :)

haha well my dream has always been to work at Goodby (i love their interactive work). I don't know what its actually like to work there, but I gotta at least try right?
I plan on applying at the best smaller places as well.
- They actually do most of their hands on interactive work out of house. North Kingdom has done most of their work http://www.northking…memorizebyheart
- whoa really? I thought they concepted in house, even some design and send it to NK for production.hellogoodbye
- Well yeah they concept and design but you don't actually get to do hands on interactive Flash work, unless it's banners.memorizebyheart
- lol perfect!hellogoodbye
- I use to know the last recruiter there but he moved on... I would connect you with the new one but not sure who it is now.memorizebyheart
- hah yea one of my buddies said the same thing. Apparently the last guy was super cool.hellogoodbye
- yeah! Zach Canfield super cool guy.. he is now at Wieden+Kennedy if you are interested in moving to Portland. He got me the internship while I was still in school.memorizebyheart

Just to clarify. Goodby actually does a lot design and initial art direction in house, I think more than people may realize... and then farms it off to get produced into a website
hellogoodbye, is there a way to turn off the bouncing little guy off in the lower left hand corner? it gets a little distracting.
- i'm speaking for the interactive end of things.. don't know about the otherswordsinyourmouth3
