I'll be riding on pretty busy roads soon. Anyone know where to get a helmet worth wearing?

pretty standard road bike, not fixed.

Don't know, I don't ride with a helmet. Go to your local bike shop and see what they recommend.

I ride with a Giro like this
It's light and comfy, almost dont even notice it's on.
I read an article in Biking Magazine last year that said you don't have to spend a bundle on a helmet since the all have to pass the same test. A $39 helmet will protect you the same as a $139 helmet.

xen is more a "mountain" product but hella comfy. best fitting lid i ever owned.
