It depends on the make. Some of them don't have soles, which is very uncomfortable. I don't mind The Jack Purcell.

I only bring this up because I just bought the most comfortable shoes ever (Nike Free) and I was wondering why I was torturing myself and looking like Punky Brewster at the same time. Some people still believe in style over comfort.

Why do you think that they're uncomfortable? Because they don't have extra insoles?
I figure, if you can walk around barefoot, you walk around in a shoe with no insole. It's basically the same thing.
- But who would do that outside?juhls
- Obviously it's OK inside the house. But I don't wear shoes inside my own house.juhls
- there's a big difference if you're walking around outside with different surfaces underneath you and longer distances.juhls
- A) the fall apart
B) socks required for first 2 years of wear

- they're also like 20 bucks, so what's the loss?scarabin_net

Oh, yes, the sizing is off by 0.5 or something.
- so try them on ffs!scarabin_net
- Not if you get them online, but that's like with most other clothing items anyway.juhls
- It's just weird that they would have it different. I know some female companies do it so that the customers feel thinner.juhls

I bought a pair of the John Varvatos last month, and they were really uncomfortable. I also had a pair of the Jack Purcells last year and had to take them back after a day. They're too narrow for my feet.
