mmh I know what I want to type, I know the kind of type I want.
I simply don't want to end up with a "hand written" style font from any font shop.

it's your tattoo and your body ... use your own handwriting
- I agree, this waht I do. I just keep in mind :1-I will keep it for life. 2-I'm not a tattoo artist, and know this kind of lettering needs pratice.dyspl

ffs, everybody know you can post pics of random tattooed people.
You can even mix it with some naked chicks. That's not really the point.

Ok, do you want natural handwriting or a more traditional script?
I have seen some tattoos recently featuring nice sans-serif type, and they are stunningly nice

here's the kind of lettering I want to achieve
It is a bit like the 2 way you described ; hand writted, but in a decorative way. I personnaly find it very hard to draw, I might be simply not good at that :) (but well I think it's the kind of thing you find easy to do until you try)
Most studio I've seen here just use a handwritten type (chopin script....) and randomly put some swirls.

yes, Mr cartoon is really skilled.
I went to a tattoo convention months agos and had the opportunity to see someone doing the same kind of lettering, using a pen directly on the skin > perfect shapes, that was incredible!
