Ok, so I've decided to have mine early.
Anyone here ride a Harley Sportster?
- Horp0
Vespa 50 Jersey, its the only way to go.
- JerseyRaindog0
I already have a 125 Vespa Horp - I'm looking at a second hand 250 gst Vespa this week and a Harley Sportster 883. Both the same price... but I would keep the Vespa if I bought the HD.

I were only joking Jersey... there's a thread about whether a 50cc would be good for mountain runs.
I love a Harley Sportser, I really think they are fucking smart...but it really is the definitive Midlife crisismobile for the discerning UK creative.

@Georgesll funny story, my buddy from high school, my age (40) is still out touring the world with his death metal ensemble, and he told me this story. About a year ago they were playing this big open air metal festival in europe, and during sound check late morning before the crowds rolled in he went up on stage, getting the levels on his bass right and everything, and he was up there wearing a pair of shorts and docksiders like in your picture there. On of the video camera guys zoomed in on his feet and on the big video screen he was up there with his totally not-metal docksiders. He apparently still gets ribbed about it from everyone in his band...he said "Fuck them, they're comfortable, besides they were a gift from my uncle..."
While my sixteen year old self would of been horrified, my forty year old self completely understands exactly how truly rock and roll the story is..
- My dad bought me my first pair and I always hated them, now I have a coming back to the roots feeling ehehehGeorgesII
- TheBlueOne, have you ever told us who your friends band is?fooler2

I ride a buell XB9, a bit lighter/faster than a sporstser you should try it.- 30's rock. Better than your 20's for the most part.TheBlueOne

Sportsters are a nice enough bike, but if you're looking for a cruiser I'd recommend something from the Softail or Dyna line. You can ride them for days, they are super-easy to control and any bike in the lot goes faster than I need to go on two wheels.
I ride a Harley Davidson Fatboy, by the way. I cannot say enough good things about this bike. Flat out fucking wonderful.
- Everyone I know that buys a Sportster ends up selling it and buying a bigger bike.blaw
- Nice bike Blaw, I love thosemorilla
- Did I mention there's a 40mph speed limit on my island? I'm looking for the cruise I think.JerseyRaindog
- Thanks, man. Mine's a lot like the music I like—black and rumbly.blaw
- 40 mph is a nice, laid-back ride. Perfectly comfortably on that HD. If you decide to get it, definitely post pics.blaw
- Will do blaw, will do.JerseyRaindog

5timuli, don't feel bad. It's old and secondhand - can't afford a new one.
- In that case, buy it up. You'll love it. Then likely sell it and buy a bigger bike. :)blaw

Find a nice 19 year old to date...at some point you'll find yourself saying to yourself "I couldn't of been this dumb at that age, could I? I'm too old for this shit..." and your problem will be solved...
- I'm married with a child. Like your thinking but I can see problems...JerseyRaindog

I can't even drive. Can't afford to learn either and I'm 31.

You just mentioned Vespa and Harley in the same sentence.
Closes door and turns out the lights.
- Sorry morilla. I like 'em both.JerseyRaindog

Do like me, let apart those stupid massive yank bikes and start doing some bicycle... if you don´t puke your lungs out and are able to see the sun next day, you feel like reborn
- nice.TheBlueOne
- I have a bike too. I even use it occasionally too.JerseyRaindog
