Well isn't just an incomprehensible minefield trying to buy airline tickets - searching Orbitz, as they're the cheapest I've seen so far - lowest price ticket 480, all in.. Other airlines on the same route, same seat class are like 10 times that..
I know the prices alter as you get closer to the date - anyone got any real experience and tips on how I can get the best price ?
Really need to get from midwest to uk from next thurs to the following thurs.

I bought tickets from atlanta to japan direct for 669 last month on Delta.com. I just got back this week. It seemed like the discount ticket places were MORE EXPENSIVE in some cases.

- actually I usually end up buying direct from the airline. AirCanada is great, very laid backmikotondria3

I don't know how it is these days. I heard that they usually release the new price on Tuesday around midnight, or Wednesday. so you might have a good chance on getting the best price around then. Also, I think the price changes like every 7days. 21, 14, 7 days from your departure. The flight to london is usually more expensive than to paris, geneva or other european cities.

I have a yearly membership with Spirit airlines and I've purchased flights for $9. It all depends if they flight to the cities you want...check it out.
