A client wants to offer customers a $10 coupon via email/web link after spending $200. What are some things that can be done easily and cheaply to make it harder for someone to print multiple copies or photocopy what they print out?
Please and thank you!

Is more consumerism what we need?

A database, when a coupon is redeemed that coupons number is no longer valid.

i'm not sure there is a way
just put an expiry date or something if she's worried about it getting out of hand and make sure to disclaim that it's only one per customer
if you give it to them digitally you're not going to be able to stop them from printing more than one

a better approach would be to encourage people to print as many as they want, then make it a stipulation on the coupon that they have to provide a receipt worth $200 in order for it to be valid (and/or redeem it at time of $200 purchase)

a weekly coupon with dates printed. coupon can be used only during that week and limit one per visit. if they want to come back every day and buy more stuff that week so they can use the coupon, then that's not so bad.

warning on each coupon: if you print more than one, jesus christ will torch your ass. and your family.

emukid Why would jesus torch just your ass but the whole rest of your family?..... wait is it because every time you sit down after the torching you are reminded that your greed killed your family?. Well that's my last post tonight :) I'm off to bed sleep well everyone :D
