What do you guys think about this career? My sister's boyfriend banks and all his friends are buying 600k to million dollar homes and they are all in their 20's. I was just wondering is this all legit? Plus they fly first class everywhere, and get front row seats to all sports events.
Anyway just thought I'd ask...

Ah yeah... the whole energy trading/carbon credit thing is taking off right now. It'll be a big thing for businesses in the next decade... wether or not it has any real environmental impact remains to be seen.

Forget energy trading, the future is Stitchin. Or so I hear.
- Yea true. It will all be over in 2012 anyway :). Nirubu is coming :)redant

Yeah, didn't you guys know? If you trade energy, you automatically get upgraded to first class on flights and are given front row seats to all sports events.

The whole carbon credit thing is a joke to me. Basically companies who know they're going to be harming the environment with emissions purchase 'carbon credits' to offset their environmental impact. A carbon credit is basically a an IOU to the environment in the form of planting trees/rehabiliting an ecosystem/etc. And then to go and turn a profit from such a thing... pretty shady if you ask me.
- thats what im saying. It's so freakin shady. But I guess it's a fun way to make a buck for traders.redant
- Lots of room for abuse it seems to me, especially without any binding enforcement...TheBlueOne
- It's just wrong!! thanks guys.redant
