anyone know any well-designed examples? site or blog format.
my pops wants one, i was trying to convince him to do it using a wordpress template but maybe that's not going to suitable for genealogy content.
no i don't need you help with qbn filter or google.

Your pops wants to start up a genealogy site? That sounds like something that would require a business plan and budget, not just a wordpress template.

yeah he more wants a place to write about family history, post photos, document timelines.
he's been collecting the info for years. the packaged family-tree products like Geni are a little too basic and limiting.
- I think a Facebook account would serve him well. I'm not trying to be an ass, btw.monospaced
- thx he's already on facebookhorton

To answer your original question, I don't think there are any "well-designed examples" out there. Sounds like a project.
- yup ok. should be no harm in asking. you never know. that's partly what this forum is far, right?horton

was mostly just curious if anyone knew of any well-designed personal sites... wanted a sampling of how others organize the typical genealogy content, and maybe some eye-candy to help him visualize.
seems like there are endless links to horribly unattractive genealogy sites out there. thought somebody out there might be doing it right. figured it was worth asking on qbn.
