  youtube's not losing money =) that's like saying the board of directors of apple is losing money because they're not the ones in the factory making the phones and the macs...

  youtube data must be second only to search engine data when it's time to monetize their ad market, and targeting ads efficiently is what google does. Better data = $$$$$$$$$.
