I know life in Africa isn't exactly a bed of roses. But I think a more productive way of caring would be to use her money to set up village schools. Rather than plucking one lucky child and thrusting them into a world of warped celebrity, invest time and money into the communities and bring education and opportunities...

The other point is that she is divorved, spends a large portion of her time travelling around the world and she's constantly in the public eye. Basic rules for adoption is that the kid is going to a loving, caring, strong fmaily relationship, that has the ability to raise the child in a secure environment.
She fails to tick 50% of those boxes.
She's selfish and deluded. The kid will only grow up and be annoyed she had the chance to live with Madonna if she becomes exposed to what that means (i.e. constantly barraged with marketing, television and other media telling her it's a good thing).
