Ok, let's bring it back from insults, because it's a cool usbject to discuss.
re: my comments, I like China's 1 child law. I don't like what it produces as far as abortion and other issues. Obviously still a problem. There are most def people who aren't ready to have kids, that's clear. However if you don't agree with that, I believe that's our diverging point.
- designbot0
^There are a number of other issues that this policy in China has produced besides the ones you noted. In 10-20 years time China is going to have major issues because it will not have a big enough population to provide all the necessary labor to sustain itself.
Why exactly do you think this population control is a good thing? Do you have children?

@jfletcher
That's the whole problem with such biologically deviant and un-natural 'laws'.
The enforcement of such 'laws' commonly ends up in utter brutality.
slaughtered infants, mutilated mothers, etc.Hitler put restraints on who was allowed to conceive, etc. during Nazi reign.
Like I stated earlier, jfletcher, if this sounds good to you, you're still free to emigrate to China.
I think it's a bit ridiculous to try and spread that enslavement doctrine over here, where the people are not so accustomed to that shit.

It goes like this:
EVERYBODY MIND THEIR OWN GODDAMNED BUSINESS.

well,,,, if you are poor and uneducated and 15. Sure, go on and have a kid. Let's see how that kid turns out. Statistics don't lie.
It's just common sense.

I dated a chick whose teenage mom gave her up adoption. She's a PhD now.
- yes, all it takes is one example to break a stereotype...or "statistic".designbot
- she gave her up for adoption why? BEcause she wasnt ready for a kid right?morilla
- it happensuberdesigner
- neat. we are talking about unfit people KEEPING their kids.spifflink

@styleplus - I don't want to move to China, I've been there plenty of time, I like the US.
However I don't see why a discussion can hurt? I'm certainly open to changing my opinions, but I haven't heard an argument to change me. My wife wants two kids, so I'm even putting laws on my own family. I'm not sure what I suggest is the best method, but I believe something needs to happen. Although I could turn to the education system as a key element of failure as well. I don't think it's just *one source.You're also calling into effect Godwins law with your mention of Nazi's/Hitler: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God…
- *we know what Godwins law is, thanks. We bin here before.mikotondria3
- apparently not all of us :)jfletcher

(morilla: no, When I am paying for your f-in kid , it is my business.)
@morilla
that's exactly how national socialism is supposed to work. Has anyone ever heard of Adolf Hitler?- Hum the first few notes and I'll play along.Jnr_Madison
- I was talking about welfare you twit? You are way out there. Did you have a kid at a young age?morilla
- i was wondering the same thing morilla.capn_ron

I don't see why wanting to start a family is so bad, it's a personal choice.
- morilla0
^^^ you are definitely taking crazy pills.
- fiver0
HEY! has anyone seen the update?
- designbot0
@jfletcher
So you don't have any kids yet? Well you may very well change your mind after they come along.
- horton0
@ those who support for china's 1 child law...
a nation of needy, socially inept single childs. yeah that's healthy.
almost as healthy as their current sex ratio imbalance.
- mikotondria30
I don't think Godwins law applies when you are actually discussing something that was a key part of Hitlers operations or policies. No topic of population control or eugenics could really take place without reference to the 3rd Reich, so I think that this is an exception.
When you call Godwins Law and its NOT Godwins law, then you get in real trouble - Thats Fletchers Law:...ummmmm!!!- that's not a real link! hmm, but in this case I feel the "hitler" term is thrown around a bit liberally.jfletcher
- ..um, it IS a real link.mikotondria3

this documentary is a shocker:
http://www.cbc.ca/doczone/sexual…
http://www.cbc.ca/doczone/china_…FACT SHEET: SEX IN CHINA
Only 20% of Chinese men know where to find the clitoris.
Only 50% of Chinese women have ever had an orgasm.
Ten years ago, there were no sex shops in China. Now there are an estimated 5,000 in Beijing - more than in New York City.
China's ‘one child' policy has resulted in millions more men than women – an estimated 30 million more men than women by the end of the decade. These men will never find a wife or have a family. As a result, karaoke and strip bars, massage parlours and brothels have sprung up everywhere to sexually service these hordes of single men in what's become the world's fastest growing sex trade. Another result: HIV is becoming a scourge in China, as it has elsewhere in the world.

@designbot - I could.
I tend to look at things very analytically. However I'll admit when I have a kid I could feel very different and take a 180. I try and keep myself open to the notion I could change at any point. That's why I say "have a discussion", I'm someone who can change their mind... or have others change it based on debate.- http://en.wikipedia.…mikotondria3
- That's cool. I can only imagine from my own experience that you will change your mind post-kids :)designbot

@jfletcher
Good for you.
I hope your wife and yourself find happiness in whatever decision that you make.My point is that it should be your (and your wife's) decision to make and nobody else's that's it.
it's very simple.

you're taking other people's lives too personally
- uh. The same law would apply to EVERYONE. including ME.styleplus
